Buy snowboard boots
A snowboard boot is not an ordinary boot, nor can it be compared to a ski boot. The shoe should be waterproof and warm so that it is comfortable all day long. And it has to fit just right, throughout your session. Buying a snowboard boot online is possible, but only if you already know which size you need. And even then, the size can vary by model, so fitting in the store is always preferable.
Snowboard boots material and properties
The composition of materials and the design determine what kind of snowboard boot you have and what price tag is attached to it. So you have roughly three different shoes with all three very different properties.
• A beginner or freestyle shoe will feel a bit more flexible and comfortable in the beginning. Bending your ankles after a landing is possible and some freedom of movement is desired. For freestyle properties that are certainly welcome.
• A freeride shoe is a versatile snowboard shoe that you can actually use for all disciplines. They are suitable for both beginners and advanced users. Usually medium stiff and can be used in all universal freeride bindings. So if you don't go down the icy slope like a pro slalom racer or if you don't freestyle yourself all the way down, this is the shoe for you.
• The High performance snowboard boot will be a bit stiffer and lean more towards the hard boot. Still some degree of flex and therefore comfort. For hard, fast work, for guys who really get a lot out of their board on and off piste or heavy men who don't get enough pressure in a normal soft boot.
What is the right snowboard boot
A snowboard boot that fits well and that you can wear all day without pain or irritation is the right boot. If it also matches your profile and the other hardware such as the board and the binding, you're completely fine!
